Italian Leather Travel Bags

Several of Tuscany Bags' Italian leather travel bags, including the TL Voyager trolleys, are designed as cabin luggage. Most airlines cap cabin baggage near 55 x 40 x 20 cm, so check the figures against your carrier before flying. Each style lists its dimensions on the product page so you can check them against your airline's cabin limits.

Yes. The full-grain, vegetable-tanned Italian leather Tuscany Bags uses for its travel bags is hard-wearing and ages handsomely with use. Vegetable tanning takes weeks using natural tree-bark tannins, where chrome tanning takes about a day and leaves a finish that cracks rather than patinas — the two methods are compared in full in vegetable-tanned vs chrome-tanned leather. That is why leather holdalls and duffles last for decades.

Tuscany Leather's travel range is unisex rather than cut by gender, so the question is really one of size and weight. For a smaller frame, look to the weekender duffles and the cabin trolleys rather than the large holdalls: every style lists its dimensions in centimetres and its empty weight in kilograms on its product page, and an empty bag near 2 kg leaves far more of an airline's allowance than one near 4 kg. Colour is the other difference — the range runs well beyond black and brown.
